AdvFs and Free Space Alerts

We use AdvFS extensively. We are currently running 4.0d through Patch Kit 2.
We have set up all our fileset/domains with free space alerts via dtadvfs. I
have done enough investigation to know that the number of blocks to be used as
the high water mark are stored in a file in /var/opt/advfsd. The value of this
high water appears to only be changed explicitly via the GUI. I have seen the
Release Notes for 4.0d and am aware of the problems with the GUI as documented
in them. I am also aware that the chfsets command can be used to set quotas.

My questions:
Are (is) there any ways to modify the free space alert through a command rather
than editing the file?
Are there tools available that help in administering AdvFS?
Are there plans to have the free space alert value updated automatically when
volumes are added/removed or quotas set/removed?
Is anyone familiar with the document Advanced File Systems and Utilities for
DIGITAL UNIX Guide to File System Administration? Would the answers to
questions like the above be available in this manual?

Thanks,
