Hi All,
We have a problem with NFS on one of our AlphaServer 1000's (Digital Unix 4.0D, Patch Kit #7, TruCluster 1.4A). NFS used to work OK, but then it stopped, possibly after some work was done on RIS on the machine.
mountd fails to start, and logs the following errors in daemon.log
mountd:[28907]:startup
mountd[28904]: couldn't register MOUNTPROG VERS1 TCP
nfsd:[28913]: Can't register with portmap
pcnfsd:[28900]: unable to register (PCNFSDPROG, PCNFSDVERS, udp)
The portmapper is running, as are some of the RPC programs.
rpcinfo -p gives:

Anyone has any ideas what might be stopping mountd/nfs from starting?
thanks,
Alan
