Looking for a poppassd that works with yppasswd

  Is anyone using a poppassd program that works to change NIS passwords? If
so, could I "borrow" it?
  I need such a beast.
  I have tried modifying the original poppassd program, and I was NOT
successful. It was not as trivial as one would like to think.
  The DEC support people have been very concerned, but no help.
  DEC UNIX 4.0a on an Alpha.
