My original question:
Greetings all:
I'm running into a problem where when I am trying to remove a user under
BASE security (DU 4.0D), I am getting the following error:
Working ...userdel: Password entry is corrupted. Please repair the password
file and then run Account Manager
Originally, I had this server set up for C2 security, but due to an
application that I'm testing, I had to drop it down to BASE security so the
app will run. I did not like this too well, but when the CIO tells you this
is a corporate mandated software package, you do it. (Yes, you can declare
me an idiot for dropping the security from C2 to BASE).
My question is how do I repair the passwd file? I have gone into vipw and
saved it to try to get the hashed database synced up, but it still didn't do
the trick. Any ideas on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

They all pointed out that this is a known bug with Patch Kit #2. The two
ways to resolve it are to either install Patch Kit #3 or to remove Patch
number 153 from PK2. I have decided to go with the PK3 route since I
actually need it for some other servers as well.
Thanks for the help!
