PWD env variable in Linux

Hi all!

I've got another Linux question for you. I'm trying to set up my prompt in
Linux to be likemmy ksh prompt in DEC UNIX, which has the full path name as
part of the prompt (the $PWD environment variable). How do I do this in
Linux? I've tried using the \W switch in the PS1 prompt variable, but that
just gives the current directory, not the fully pathed out directory.

Thanks!

PS - Is there a Linux mailing list out there that I should be sending these
messages to?
