LSM Initialisation on 3.2C

Trying to encapsulate advfs root-disk (rz0) and running into problems.
Have issued the following commands:

volinstall
vold -m disable
voldctl init
voldg init rootdg
volencap rz0

Execute vol-reconfig on reboot after lsmbstartup and get the following
error:

vold: Number of configuration copies is incorrect

Unable to encapsulate root disk

What is the normal process for performing these steps, bearing in mind
version of LSM shipped with 3.2C is slightly different from 4.0D?
