Recovering ADVfs domain on LSM volume

Here's a good one:

We are currently running DU3.2c, ASE125 and LSM1.4

How do I go about recovering an ADVfs domain with numerous read errors
on the fset. The LSM volume is unmirrored, data on the volume does not
normally need to be recovered and hence has not been dumped recently.
The LSM volume has no private region. The mount point is also
configured as an ASE disk service which I have taken off-line.

Remounting on our live systems is out of the question as the domain
causes an ADVfs panic, bringing either of the two members down. I need
to be able to pull the disk and remount it on our test machines, recover
the data from the disk, setup a new disk on the live machines and
restore the data. I'm happy about everything apart from the remounting
bit.

Any help on this one would be much appreciated!
