Hi managers:
Off topic. Sorry but needing too much some idea
from real managers :-)
I apologize for use this site for a matter
not DU directly related :-(
Our site connects to the Internet through an
Digital Altavista Firewall 97 box.
We also have an internal WWW server in our LAN.
Users use Microsoft Internet Explorer and Netscape
Communicator to browse both Internet and the internal
WWW pages. When they access the Internet they have to
configure their browsers to make use of the Altavista
Firewall 97 proxy server, and when they browse the
internal WWW server pages they have to reconfigure their
browsers so that they connect directly and not through
a proxy server. Users complain about this.
Is there any way around this so that users don't have
to reconfigure their browsers whenever they switch from
Internet surfing to the internal WWW server?
Any idea, experience will be appreciated
TIA
Ada
