Several people responded to my question who either noted that groff was
entirely optional or gave me ideas for substituting it with nroff or echo.
Sermour Burch even offered to ftp me a copy of groff, an option which I
declined as I will compile it myself later when I get a chance to get the
latest gnu compiler. Thanks also to Sean O'Connell, Paul Wood, Thomas
Leitner, Sam Nelson, Robert, Benites, and John Speno. This raises the
thought in my mind that the advtent of http browsers such as Netscape,
Linx, and Internet Explorer, providing documentation in any Unix man page
format is growing obsolete.
Thanks for the help.
