OK....Now that I've got my SLIP connection working...
What is the best way to protect it from unwanted connections,
not traffic. Would just using a bizarre netmask sufficient?
Is there any way someone can try to connect, realize it's
a slip connection and find out the IP of the "remote" (what
it's looking for?). that is if the SLIP is active on the
unix side but not connected (slattach is running) and someone
links modems, will there be any packets sent by DU to try
to establish the SLIP connection which would give away the
IP address it's looking for, as well as it's own address, this
way someone could setup thier own system and connect.
