Ownership changes for softlink files after scheduled backup

Hello,

   I have problem with my SOFT LINKed Directories. After our daily scheduled backup in the night ALL THOSE directories / files which
have been soft-linked changes their ownership and group permission to system and root.

    So, daily our administrator has to manually change those permissions to the actual ones to work on them.

    Kindly suggest the cause and remedy for the same.
