sendmail and wingate 2.1d

I am running my server behind a machine which uses wingate as a firewall to
connect to the internet. I need to configure my sendmail to forward outside
Email to my isp's mail server can anyone please help me. I have tried
changing sendmail.cf without any luck. Incoming internet Email works. I am
new to all the so please keep it simple
