There is a program similar to strace or truss simply called 'trace'. It
compiled right out of box on 4.0D. Source available at:
ftp://ftp.iastate.edu/pub/unix/osf1/trace/
Unfortunately it didn't solve my netscape problem. Process just dies with
a SIG 11 for no apparent (to me) reason. Here is the last few lines of
output from trace:
