Xwindows error.

Hi All,

I have an application which crashes at random intervals with the following
error. Can anyone suggest whether the cause is more likely to be rooted in
the application itself or the Xwindows system. I'm currently running 4.0E
+Open3D490A +patchkit1 on a PWS433au with a Powerstorm 4D51T adapter.


Error message from graphics function Update_Display:
Unexpected X11 "fatal IO error" on '/driver/x11/:0.0+w0' -
The system message was 'Broken pipe'

Can any X11 experts give me a breakdown of the error perhaps?
