It prompted me to realize that at the end of a long day, I wasn't able to
notice that in fact, the
/etc/vol/type/gen/volmake program was missing.
So, from /usr/.smdb. ,
grep etc/vol/type/gen/volmake *LSM* |more
OSFLSMBASE425.inv:0 34 00000 0 0 120777 12/29/97
425 s ./etc/vol/type/gen/volm
ake ../../../../sbin/lsm.d/gen/volmake OSFLSMBASE425
It get's installed by the LSM base kit. I suspect that I had deleted the
/etc/vol/... tree in error.
So, tomorrow, more awake, I'll replace it.
