I'm trying to set up an LSM structure from using a command line arguments.
This one is driving me crazy, since I know I'm forgetting something simple,
but I can't think of what it is.
I'm receiving the error "/etc/vol/type/gen/volmake: No such file or
directory" when trying to make a subdisk.
I started with a disk , rz10, newly partitioned.
Then, I did the standard set-up instructions,
volinstall
voldctl init
voldg init rootdg
voldisksetup -i rz10 nconfig=1 privlen=1024
voliod set 2
vold -k
voldctl enable
volrecover -sb
My /etc/vol directory looks as follows:
drwxr-xr-x 2 root system 8192 Mar 11 17:14 tempdb
drwx------ 2 root system 8192 Mar 11 17:14 vold_request
drwx------ 2 root system 8192 Mar 11 17:14 vold_diag
-rw-r--r-- 1 root system 512 Mar 11 17:03 volboot
drwxr-xr-x 6 root system 8192 Mar 11 16:50 reconfig.d
Then, to make a subdisk, I use the command:
volmake sd rz10-01 rz10, 0, 400m
Which is when I receive the error:
"/etc/vol/type/gen/volmake: No such file or directory"
Naturally, the same occurs when I use dxlsm.
What am I missing, please
Thanks and regards,
Bruce
