new_wire_method parameter on Tru64 4.0x

                I found an article on the Oracle support page warning
about the new_wire_method parameter in 4.0x of Tru64 UNIX. According to
the information, the new_wire_method parameter needs to be turned off if
running Oracle on the server. The default setting is enabled, but
apparently this could cause Oracle data corruption. Has anyone seen
this?
