Hello,
I have 2 Digital Unix systems (v3.2g) running ASE v1.3.
I have a Digial Unix Server (V4.0B) running Networker
Server (v4.2B).
I have 5 cluster services defined and are backing up to the
Networker Server. The clients in the Networker Server are
defined as Cluster Services in machine type.
I added 2 more ASE services and then attempted to add them
to Networker for backups.
The 2nd service I added went fine and added it as a cluster service.
The 1st service I added would only add as a cluster host instead
of a cluster service in machine type. Although I change the machine
type as a cluster service, and then click apply, it changes it back to
a cluster host. The result is the backups do not work for the ASE service.
Although the nsr logs say it backs it up fine, there are no indexes created
for it.
Why is Networker insistant on adding this cluster service as a cluster
host and how can I get this fixed so it can be added as a cluster service?
The other 6 cluster services work fine in Networker. There are no
differences
on how the ASE services are defined for all 7 services.
FYI: Upgrades will be done on all 3 systems in June, but I need to get it
working in the current config.
thanks,
Allan
