I've recently been experiencing a bizarre problem with the process
table on an Alpha 1000 running DU 3.2C. At random intervals, usually
separated by several days or weeks, ps -ef will list every running
process as 'defunct', although everything seems to be working
normally. When this occurs, top will segfault and core dump. A
reboot returns everything to normal working condition. Anyone ever
seen this kind of weird behavior before? UERF never shows anything
odd, nor is there anything in messages or the daemon log.
