running Satan from DEC Alpha

I just installed Satan & would like to run it to test my network's security.
In reading the troubleshooting section I noticed a section that stated that
when scanning certain DEC Alphas it generates a kernel memory fault when the
UDP port gets scanned & then the system reboots to single user mode because
the filesystem is so messed up.

Has anyone out there had any problems?

I am running a 4100 & a 2100 - both running 4.0D - patch level 3.

Also - if you've used SATAN before I'm having some problems launching it.
>From the initial html screen there are hyperlinks for SATAN data management,
Target Selection Report etc. But when I select one of these I get a popup
window to "Save As... (type application/x-perl)" Is my Perl misconfigured -
or is SATAN? any ideas?

Thanks for your help - it is appreciated.
