Hi,

We have one of the older DEC Alpha boxes that we would like to setup as a
samba/nfs server. Basically the box is a DEC Alpha 3000/600 Desktop with
128mb and a turbo channel bus. Now we have a bunch of sun multipacks (4 disk
fast narrow scsi) and some sun single packs (fast/wide). We are getting an
LSM license. The box is rather limited in its capacity to put other cards
in, it has 3 turbo channel slots, of which 1 is taken by a video controller.
It comes with 2xfast narrow scsi channels, one is limited to internal
connections, the other is connected to an external bulk head (centronix 50
pin). We have 3

Questions:
(a) has anyone been able to purchase a turbo channel 100mb ether card.
(b) has anyone got any comments on ways the performance might be enhanced
(ie memory, presto serve, fast/wide scsi)
(c) any other comments.

Dennis
