ssh and C2 security

Greetings, managers...
Before installing C2 security on my machine I had compiled and installed
ssh-1.2.26 on my machines and it was working fine. Now, the sshd daemon
still runs but any logins are met with the message "permission denied."
Is there anything about the C2 security that would mess it up?

Outbound ssh connections are still OK.
