Dear all,
for once I am not trying to get 3000/300s walk the dog... I have three
4.3Gb disks to add to an HZ70 array with four disks in a single RAID
set. This is connected to an 8200.
Given that I know that I need to take the system down, backup
everything and rebuild the RAID set is there a good reason why the
five manuals that came with the HZ70 don't have a single line about
adding disks?
Basically my plan is:
* single user
* backup to DLT
* put the disks in the box (switching the HZ70 off?)
* reconfigure from scratch the new 7-disk RAID set
* re-partition (I use UFS...)
* restore the data
* reboot joyfully.
Any comments? I think I don't need to power-cycle the HZ70 but as I
said I wish I could find something useful in the docs.
Thanks,
Arrigo
