and
Phil Lawrence via Compaq Support

It is very easy to change the Memory Channel IP Addresses
as long as the new addresse range assigned to the Memory
Channel are unique on the network and have a subnet mask
of 255.255.255.0 (Class 'C').

The /etc/hots and /etc/rc.config on all the nodes need to
be edited ensuring that the connection manager remains
as xxx.xxx.xxx.42

Then reboot to take affect.

( The original addresses used by the Compaq consultant
10.0.0.xxx although usually reserved for a private network
appear to be clashing with a newly connected external network.

This seemed to happen when a lot of data was going over the
Memory Channel using an NFS service configured to run over the
MC rather than via the network.)
