Thank you all for the speedy response.
The routing information needs to be in /etc/routes, maybe /etc/gateways is a
red herring!

Mike.

Subject: Alpha Routing
All,
Please could somebody advise me as to which file I need to
update so DU sets
up a default route on reboot.
At the moment I am having to type the following everytime
the machine
reboots :-
# route add default 10.2.64.1 - This works until the machine
reboots and
loses this route.
I have set up /etc/gateways but this seems to make no
difference :-
root.alpha2> cat /etc/gateways
net default gateway 10.2.64.1 metric 1
active
TIA,
Mike.
