SUMMARY: Tape error

solution was to do dia-R|more for DECevent (which I have installed)
or uerf.

We also do DLT backups which are still working (long story, don't ask
why we do both).

If anyone cares I pasted results at bottom. Guess it's time to call
up the support people. Thanks to respondants.
