Looking for standard Digital UNIX system monitoring shell scripts

Hello all,

Do you have any scripts to monitor system resources and send a mail message
when a threshold is exceeded? Can you provide some good standard scripts
for proactively avoiding system problems like swap space or file systems
filling up?
