Hello!
I've a problem with a XP1000 running DU v4.0E.
I installed it with a multisync monitor with name N and installed after a
piece of advice DWS Open3D PowerStorm 4D10T V4.93 in order to support the
Elsa GLoria Synergy graphics controller.
I had no problem running CDE.
After some days without a monitor it was taken down in order to get a new
name and a 18GB disk.
Everything seemed ok in single-user so I put it in multiuser state and
thus /sbin/rc3.d/S95xlogin was run.
The monitor reponds Out of Range,
The picture just moves rapidly over the screen.
Uerf tells this about the grapics controller

This is exactly the same as sizer on three similar machines tells me -
both concerning open3d and sizer.
/var/X11/Xserver.conf is used with no extra arguments now, but I've also
tried to add ++++++++this+++++++++++++++ without changes (rebooted):
args < -pn -screen 1280x1024 -vsync 75
Is the controller broken?
It is possible to log in but impossible to seen the screen.
Remote working is ok.
The controller has one jumper, "VGA enable/disable"
If this is set in the other position it impossible to use the screen even
i console- or single-user mode.
