Thanks to everyone who responded so quickly.
Unfortunately, what i'm trying to do, cannot be done.
I can increase the LSM Volume size but this doesnt effect the
filesystem size that resides in the volume.
Only solution is re-create the filesystem in the volume and do a tape
restore
- ---Original Question---
Hi Managers...
Ok heres my situation.
I have a 500 Meg striped file system on my system that i need to
increase in size. What i was trying to do was creating a concat plex
and associate it with the striped volume, disassociate the striped
plex, recreate the striped plex with a larger size, re-assoicate the
striped plex, remove the concatenated plex and in theory (my theory
anyway) the striped file system should have the larger size.
This isnt the case though. I can do all those steps with no errors
and everything look good in a volprint -hAt, yet in a df -k, the file
system did NOT increase in size, but its being reported as the
original size. I'm hoping either 1. I'm missing a step or 2. Theres
another easy way for me to increase the size of the stripe without
doing a tape restore....being the fact that we need to do this on a
file system that is in excess of 20gig.
Any help with this situation will be GREATLY appriciated.
