removing disks and upgrading Networker

Hi All,

I have 2 questions.

I need to find out how to *cleanly* remove some rz29b disks that are not
going through a HSZ or SWXCR. The disks are in a ba356 shelf which goes
directly to a scsi card. I'm sure some of it (or all of it) is done in scu,

but I would like to know how to get it done so I don't have any log files
fill up
with error messages. I'd like to remove them cleanly while the system is
still up and running. System is running DU V4.0D, patch kit 3. These disks

will be permanently removed and not replaced. The disks do not have any
information on them.

Second question: Has anyone upgraded their Legato Networker Server from
V4.2B to V5.X and if so, were the indexes all saved in the upgrade? I have
done
the client side which doesn't really have any information and took no time
at all,
but have yet to do the server side itself.

thanks,
Allan
