Raritan Console Switch

Hi,

does anyone have any experience with using one of these to allow a single VGA
monitor/keyboard/mouse
to act as the console for multiple Alphas? They are for PCs but raritan told
our Digital reseller (who actually sold it to us) that it works with Alphas as
long as you have the right cables. We bought one
and allegedly the right cables to work with Alphas but we can't get a thing on
the screen out of it. We
tried two different Digital monitors and a NEX Multisync to no avail. Also I
have a sneaking feeling that
it caused two of the systems (AlphaStation 500 and AlphaServer 800) to crash,
which has kind of
dissuaded me from playing much more. The company are no good at returning
requests for support
and we are on the point of returning it (it's not cheap) and demanding out money
back, but I thought
I'd ask if anyone of you has one. This isn't urgent but I'd appreciate hearing
if any of you have gotten
such a thing (or another manufacturer's similar device) to work. Thanks
