we're looking into setting up a fail-over trucluster for some of our Oracle
database systems, and I'm trying to find out if the RA-3000 is 'fast enough'
to be used in a trucluster setup. from what I can gather from the specs on
www.compaq.com, IO peak rate is significantly _lower_ for the RA3000 (2200
'IO' per sec per controller) compared to the RAID Array/230 Plus (3372 'IO'
per sec, three channel) which we use today on some of our machines.
with a three machine cluster, is the RA-3000 suitable for use in a
trucluster database environment. any experience?
have a nice day. with friendly regards,
