Thanks to all who answered about this.
I got many suggestions to use sys_check which however wasn't exactly what
I wanted (have been using using that earlier and it sure is handy in some
situations). However on www.php3.org I found a link to IRM
(
http://www.redshift.com/~yramin/atp/irm/) which was a good start for what
I wanted and easy to modify for individual use.
Original question and first letter to point me in the right direction

There are just such programs available it the following URL:

You also require to install Apache and the php3 module.
