Subject: UNIX DU4.0e to NT SERVER

Has anyone ever connected a modem using ppp daemon and chat utility
from UNIX 4.0e to an NT SERVER (RAS)?
I was successfull in connecting Unix ppp/chat to a terminal
server/router supporting ppp. However this configuration has been
replaced by NT SERVER.
From Unix to Terminal Server/Router I used following:
/usr/sbin/ppp -d /dev/tty01 19200 connect '/usr/ucb/chat -v ""
"atdtnumberhere"'
then I grepped for IP address supplied by router using ifconfig ppp command
and used this address to set up a static route to destination server.
Can same occur with NT RAS server? Do I need static route to ftp into NT
SERVER if I ever make modem connection successfully?
I read a RAS document which says
"The following are not currently supported over RAS:
DLC
TCP/IP Utilities
Sockets "
Does this mean I can't perform ftp over RAS connection?
Please send chat EXAMPLES.
Thanks
