thanx to Dayv Gastonguay, Chad Price. also MC Vialatte who hit the nail on the head
and Lucio Chiappetti for a very valuable and insightful lesson on the 'include' statement
for use in the alias file.
the list of 20 or so email addresses associated with 1 alias
was too much for sendmail to process. the idea is to either:
1) use the include statement to point to a file that holds the address list. example-
thisgroup: :include:/usr/users/joeb/mail.list
2) split the addresses up into sub-aliases. example-
thatgroup: name1,name2,name3,name4,name5,thatgroup2
thatgroup2: name6,name7,name8,name9,name10,thatgroup3
thatgroup3: name11,name12,name13,name14,name15
thanx everyone!
