Most of the replies were to check the disklabel, which i did and found
it similar. I even tried the volmend utility to get the plex back to
startable state but i was not successful. Seems that reinstalling is
the only way out for me, which i will not be doing for sometime now.
I think that should solve my problem.

Now i find that rz9a also is showing showing error and failed when
i give voldisk list. and also the rootvol status is Unstartable.
The plex status is ACTIVE but my volume is not starting.
The very same situation on rz8a forced me to replace the disk.
Is there a way to start the volume.
I get an error when i start the volume.
#volume -g rootdg start rootvol
root/volume: Volume rootvol has no clean or non-volatile ACTIVE Plex
Is there something seriously wrong ?
