Regards,
I recently performed an upgrade on some older DEC3000 systems. Two of
them crashes consistently when X starts. These two have PMAGC-BA cards
and crashes with the message
pv: can't continue from PV TLB Miss
Relevant data:
pv0 at tc0 slot 2
pv0: vram=8MP, ua=4x4, vp=1280x1024, pms=32KP, pmc=256, id=PMAGC-BA
DEC 3000 - M600 system
Firmware revision: 7.0
Booting genvmunix is OK. I am not able to see any significant
differences when generating a new kernel config file by doing a 'sizer
-n' command either. So I suspect either Open3D or the OSFSERTC435 (X
servers for Turbochannel) to be contaminated.
Luckily, X startup isn't crucial for the users so I have circumvented
the problem by setting XLOGIN="none" in /etc/rc.config.
Anyone seen this before and is able to guide me in the right direction
??
