ASE Cluster 'hanging' - needed reboot

Fellow listers,

One of our sites had a TruCluster system ASE1.5 DU 4.0D made up
from an A2000 and an A1200.

There are a number of ASE services, mainly NFS. The application
is Oracle based.

On a few occasions the user has complained that the server is
running very slow and last night it hung and needed a reboot.

Unfortunately out support staff didn't get the user to do
a crash dump.

We thought the problem had gone as we had recently changed the
memory channel IP addresses to a private range of addresses as
before it seemed to be clashing with an address on their corporate
network; it appeared to timeout after about 20 minutes before
bursting back into life.

There is nothing strange in any of the binary error logs, messages etc.

Has anyone had similar problems ?

Our next step is get the user to do a crash dump if/when it happens
again.
