I have 2 questions:
1. We have a Digital Personal Workstation 433au which we use as a server
for our library electronic catalog. Our computer room in normally
protected by a UPS but right now it isn't because of a part which they can
only get from Mexico, but that's another story. Anyway we lost power this
morning and all my servers rebooted except this one. Is that normal for
this machine and can it be changed to reboot after a power outage?
2. Last year we networked all our dorm rooms. Instead of giving out public
ip addresses to our students we set them up to obtain one with DHCP, using
joind which comes with Tru64-Unix. The addresses we gave out were private
addresses 10.*.*.*. We are using Firewall 97, which I know is not y2k
compliant to do address translation so they can get out on the internet.
We have numerous complaints about students not being able to play games at
game sites, use ICQ for chatting and using protected servers for ordering.
We looked into opening things but it appeared that in order to enable all
these items to be done that we would have to open up the Firewall wide open
and then why have one. Does anyone have any suggestions around this short
of giving out public IP addresses?

Y2K? Why not 3?
