Machine: 1000a
Script: /sbin/installupdate
After going through most of the script, the installation
attempts to begin installing BASEOSF431. (The first subset
installed in the installation process.) It then hoops
with a fatal error describing wrong permissions with the
BASEOSF431.scp file.
The permissions are:
-rwxr--r-- 1 root system 3913 Jun 5 17:18 OSFBASE435.scp
The permissions shown in the error are not at all close, they list at:
"-rw-rw-rw-"
I'm assuming that this doesn't refer to the actual file OSFBASE435.scp
but one in the OSFBASE435.inv file. Am I wrong?
I tried to re-install 4.0B using the installupdate and it died with
the same error.
- There are no conflicting installed subsets.
- There is enough drive space.
- The system was in single user mode at time of script execution.
Anyone have this problem before? Any suggestions as to what to do?
Any help would be GREATLY appreciatied!
