Oracle Storage Configuration

We are trying to move an Oracle database from a Sun 1000E with a bunch of
JBOD disks to an AlphaServer 4100 running Digital UNIX 4.0D PK3. Our storage
is ESA10000s with HSZ70s with 128MB of cache each, configured in a redundant
mode with mirrored cache.

Does anyone out there have any suggestions or tips on how to best configure
the drives? We currently have set aside seven 9 GB mirrorsets with the
default chunk size of 128 MB, formatted with AdvFS. We are trying to
determine what is the best combination of Oracle parameters, AdvFS
parameters, and controller parameters.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Kevin
