How to skip 'non-fatal' boot errors

I have a DEC Alpha 3000/600 which stops on power up because it complains
about a keybooard not being present, we have a vt320 as the console.
However if you type b at the >>> prompt it boots quite happily.
Is there a way to get it to ignore the keyboard 'error' and boot ?
