PRESENT:
I booted up from the OS cd and exited to unix shell.
then,
cd /dev
./MAKEDEV rz16 rz17 rz18
This made all the device files fine.
Trying to mount the disks
"mount /dev/rz16a /mnt" gave me an error rz16a contains advfs.
so i tried "mount -t advfs /dev/rz16a /mnt" which gave me an error, no such
domain fileset or mount dir.
I decided to mkfdm
/sbin/mkfdmn /dev/rz16a dmn16
"/dev/rrz16a is marked in use for advfs in the disklabel. If you continue
with this operation you can possibly destroy existing data.continue [y/n], I
awnsered yes.
/sbin/advfs/advscan rz16 showed which way the disk was broken up. i knew
rz16a was root and rz16g was /usr.
Before making the file name i tried to just create the link in /etc/fdmns to
no avail i still couldnt mount it .
I know there is a way around this
So can anyone tell me how this is done .
eg i
cd /etc/fdmns
ln -s /dev/rz16a rz16a
Or maybe im way off ?
TIA
