Thanks to all who replied. To many to name.

The consensus from the group was not to use the TRU64 ftpd because you can not
control the use of it by anonymous users, so can be a big security issue.
Almost everyone mentioned the wu-ftpd.

The location of the latest version of wu-ftpd can be found in the
directory

You can configure the wu-ftpd daemon so that files sent to the upload area
can't be read/deleted/overwritten by anonymous users. Files placed in incoming
need to be moved to another area by the admin staff before they can
be downloaded by anonymous users.
