SUMMARY: Copying Passwords with C2 Security

I received two suggestions:

#1 from Benjamin Smith <smith.beno_at_epa.gov>:
============================================
we've had success by replicating /etc/passwd, group and /var/tcb/files/auth.db;
i may run authck following the migration just to be sure everything moved okay.

#2 from Richard Rogers <R.M.Rogers_at_staffs.ac.uk>
================================================
Assuming both systems are set up for C2, you will need...
The /etc/passwd file
The /tcb/files/auth.db file (if present)
The /var/tcb/files/auth.db file (if present)
The /tcb/files/auth/ directory and all its subdirectories
I think that should get you there (not forgetting mkpasswd of
course...)

I have not tried either yet, but believe in my case, copying
/var/tcb/files/auth.db and running authck will suffice. I don't need to
change the passwords for users under uid 99. Nor to I want to have passwd
out of sync with actual user accounts.
