Y2K testing

Hi managers!

I need to do some y2k testing, I've already done the neccesary
updates. I've been reading the document "TRU64 YEAR 200 READINESS" and
it recommends that before changing the system's date I should do a full
backup and when finished with the test I should restore the whole
thing. I should say that this server is used only by students (email,
programming, learning UNIX, etc) so we dont have any special production
software.

My question is why it is recommended to do a full backup/restore, and
if in this case I should do it. The other admins say that there's no
problem with advancing and restoring the date.

                                Thanks in advance
                                Gil Renard

P.D. I've already checked the problem of expiring PAKs
