I had asked for experiences in the issue of losing one of the two
processors of a DS-20 after a power cycle.
This would seem to be a problem with some, but not all DS20 CPU cards.
Compaq is aware of the issue and has a fix.
Mohamed Nayle sent me a notice from Compaq with this information:

>From the reports I've gotten from list members, some of you see this,
some of you do not. If you do, and it's causing a problem, then
apparently it *can* be fixed. For me it's more of an annoyance
than a major problem. I just have to remember to check for both CPUs
before booting unix.
