thanx to Tyler Hall amd Dr. Blinn
who both replied that someone must
have put the files there, and they could
be removed. after getting their replies
i looked in my upgrade notes and one of the
prerequisites was to copy those 2 files to
a safe place in case the upgrade nuked
them in /var/adm/lmf. i put them there, DOH!
long day- me go home now.

orig. post:

i have a partition on /dev/rz2g named /usr/data. for some reason i have an
identical copy of the ldb and ldb_history files on that partition as appear
in
/var/adm/lmf. is this an upgrade feature of 4.0D? i'ld like to remove the
files on /usr/data. a search for ldb+SUMMARY in the archives returned no
insight. tia.
