I asked about deleting quota.[group|quota] files because I needed space.
SUMMARY
One doesn't. They are sparse files, and ls -l was very misleading.
> -rw-r----- 1 root operator 1155072 Oct 8 1997 quota.group
> -rw-r----- 1 root operator 2097152 May 5 1998 quota.user
Using ls -s shows quota.group is 16K, and quota.user is 40K. This very
example was, in fact, on the ls man page: Example 1 -- sorry.
