The consenus of the right way to do this is:
1. Make sure Patch Kit 3 is installed, in partcular the following patch:
Patch 392.02
setld -i |grep 39202
OSFPAT00039202425 installed Patch: AdvFS Consolidated Patch (Filesystem
Patches)
2. Run in Single user mode, defragment the domain first
3. Still in single-user mode, fuser -cu /mountpoint to make sure that no
process is accessing data on the domain
4. do the rmvol
Without the patch, rmvol will fail when encountering a "hole" and trying to
move it.
Thanks and regards to all.
Regards
